The Bloomington Press Club welcomes members at any time. Our current members include people working in digital media, radio, newspapers, public relations, government, education, and publishing, among others. Our ranks also include retired journalists and educators, as well as those who simply have an interest in media and communications.
Membership Tiers:
- Individual Membership — $35 annually
- Student Membership — Free for one year with proof of enrollment
- Organization Membership — $100 annually for up to three employees
- Lifetime Membership — A one-time $500 contribution with special recognition by the club

Memberships are due by Oct. 1 and can be paid by mail or in person at the next meeting by check or cash. If paying by check, please make it out to Bloomington Press Club.

When are memberships due?
BPC membership years run from October through September, with annual renewals due Oct. 1.
Can I pay for multiple years?
Of course! When submitting your payment with the membership form, please note on the “Amount Enclosed” line that you are renewing for multiple years.

Can I make an additional contribution to support BPC’s operational costs and/or scholarship programs?
Yes! The Press Club is a volunteer-run organization, and we welcome contributions to help support future BPC member programming and ensure our scholarship programs are possible for aspiring young people interested in media and communications careers.
Can my additional contribution qualify for a charitable tax deduction?
If you would like your contribution to be tax-deductible, you can make a gift to our fund at the IU Foundation. Gifts to the Bloomington Press Club Internship Scholarship Fund support IU Bloomington students pursuing media-related internships in Monroe County.
