Bloomington Press Club features guest speakers at its monthly meetings, typically held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Guests are welcome!
Next Meeting: September 23

Join BPC for our next meeting on Wednesday, September 23. Our featured guest speaker will be Tracey Compton.
Tracey serves as the Indianapolis Public Editor, a first-of-its-kind role created by The Poynter Institute to foster trust, transparency, and media literacy between news organizations and the communities they serve. Compton has worked as a journalist covering breaking news, education, local government, and the military, and most recently served as senior media and communications coordinator for the global humanitarian organization Mercy Corps. A graduate of the University of Washington with degrees in journalism and political science, Compton now serves as a bridge between Indianapolis news audiences and local media outlets, helping strengthen understanding of how journalism works and why it matters.
